Michael (Mike)
Gibson L’Africain

A former professional basketball player and accomplished coach with more than 15 years experience developing youth athletes. A standout at Loyola Catholic Secondary School in Oakville, Mike captured multiple Halton championships and OFSAA medals before earning 2016 U SPORTS/OUA Player of the Year honors at the University of Ottawa. He went on to play professionally in Portugal and Slovakia before transitioning into coaching, serving as a university lead assistant and coaching in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). Today, he coaches youth basketball and scouts for Flex Management, identifying collegiate NIL and European professional talent. With elite playing and coaching experience, Mike is passionate about mentoring the next generation, helping young athletes develop their skills, confidence, and character both on and off the court.
